So many families are crimpled each day from the harsh reality of emergency or life long medical needs. Our story started with immediate need for transplant funds to even be placed on the list. The average cost for heart transplantation is well over $400,000, not including the life sustaining medications needed after surgery which will cost anywhere from $10,000 to $15,000 per year. Then there was the issue of just THOUSANDS of dollars spent before you actually make it to transplant in medications, gas to the doctors, parking and office co-pays all from a household of children that needed to be cared for with the essentials of housing, utilities, and food and a family head who could not work because of his "terminal" heart diagnoses. In 2018 the hopes and promise of continuing on the transplant list came to a screeching halt with a Sarcoma Cancer diagnosis. Fear and despair of what was to come but also worry of an addition medical strain on my already strained family. Like before with the heart diagnosis  my family, friends and community rallied around and through us a LIFE PRESERVER to help our already drowning family.  

Through my years of fighting I came to meet many who were in this fight with me but didn't have a platform, a voice, a community, or even any family support. I realized yes my situation is more than I could handle alone but I had some help and their are others who didn't have anything or anyone. I wanted to change that!! 

 I don't know what my ultimate fate maybe on this side of the system. My faith is super strong but to be honest my doctors or even I never thought I would make it this long. I feel so blessed for that. I want my time here on earth to be as useful as it can be I don't have much money, many months because for medical fees and medication cost we still struggle but I have a platform, a voice, a community and an amazing host of family and friend and TOGETHER we can make HOS not just about IAN WEEKS but helping others through awareness ( the squeaky wheel gets the grease)  prevention, basic needs, and medical emergencies.

I am confident that I can accumulate the finances needed get HOS to where I envisioned it for me and for the community. I know if things turn around for me I have you my LIFELINE to help me through when the time comes but let also consider helping those like me that do not have a YOU!
